On Bell Let's Talk Day, I tried to create a post about one of
the times that challenged me the most in my life...but I came up
short.
I started to cry before I could even write it. This wasn't
something I could truthfully share about in 350 words or less.
So, I decided to record a personal podcast episode for you
instead...
You might watch my social media feed or my content and think I
have it all figured out. That things flow effortlessly for me.
This is certainly not true.
I have felt sad and unmotivated in my life, and I believe that
sharing my struggle will bring me closer to you and to all
women.
We all struggle, we all go through rough times and vulnerability
doesn't make us weak -- it makes us human.
Which is why today, I'm sharing about the time in my life where
I had to embrace a lack of control, and what was one of my greatest
struggles to date...when I became a mother for the first time.
Even though motherhood was everything I wanted, it wasn’t easy,
it was actually draining, exhausting, and stressful.
Until I learned to embrace that I didn’t need to fix anything,
but rather to go along with the awesomeness of this somewhat
chaotic experience, accepting and surrendering to the process.
I hope this episode inspires you and softens some of the edges
that you feel around this subject...
Here are the main topics covered in this intense and raw
episode:
- ● Becoming a mother for the first time.
- ● Having a baby that is constantly screaming for 9 months.
- ● What was I doing wrong?
- ● Surrendering to the imperfect perfection of my reality.
- ● Letting go of the need to fix everything.
- ● Reestablishing the relationship as a couple.
- ● Learning to ask for help.
- ● Our babies choose us, they are unique: we can’t change,
control or shift it.
- ● Learning to actually listen.
-
- I hope that sharing this information helps to heal us all
collectively. Wishing more simplicity and ease in all that you
do!
